You can't replace good foods
Here is the most recent article that I have come across. I will try to track down the other most recent studies and post them also.

Bottom line...vitamins are vitamins. Each has a specific function in the body. You need extremely small amounts of the lil "amines" than what some quacks would have you believe. I do know that Kazimierz Funk would roll over in his grave if he knew what some of the "vitamin pushers" were telling people to "scare the money out of 'em".
Peace....eat your veggies!

Star Struck Health Advice
Remember most celebs are just trying to be thin. Thin does not equal healthy or fit.
I believe, no, I know that everyone should strive to be healthy first and fit enough to enjoy life at the level your endeavors require second. You will be as thin as you need to be if you pursue health and fitness first.
Without your health what do you have?
That reminds me of a quote I once read..."Those who choose wealth over health will lose both." What motivates the Hollywood elite? What are they choosing and what will they lose in the long run?
Check out the link below for some thought provoking information on what celebrities think is "healthy" living.

In my opinion if you want to be healthy seek advice from fitness experts that follow scientifically proven techniques and athletes that live healthy and fit lives.
Who would you rather take health advice from? Kelly Slater? Oprah? I'll take the healthy, fit, thin guy who can shred Pipeline in December.

Full Body Routines Rule
I was a fan of "split routines" for many years. Mostly because that is what all the muscle mags were telling us and that was what everyone else was doing. Why must we always follow the crowd. Of course if the crowd is a 250 pound, ripped body builder he couldn't be wrong...could he?
However, I had a sneaking suspicion that there was a better or at least a more time efficient way to get the benefits or working out with weights that the meat heads had failed to mention. Mainly because they must think that we all, like them, have nothing better to do with our time than pump iron in a stinky gym. They were not surfers, of course.
Here is an article about total body workouts. I have been using this technique for awhile now mainly because of the time issue and I like to do a lot of cardio on my "off" days. Also I understand that after working out itself, rest is the key to getting the most out of hard workouts. Plus who really wants to be in a stinky gym 5 days a week?

Life's Ahas!
I’ve owned the book "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" for many years. I even read it a couple of times.
I am having some "tough" times right now and I spoke to my littlest brother about my problems. He immediately referred to the book as reference for helping him think through some of his life changes that he is having right now. Thank you Jason!
I picked up my copy and started to read it again. OMG, Aha!
Of course the 7th habit has to do with renewal which would have lead me back to this book or similar as I go through my adult developmental processes. I didn’t make that a habit, shame on me, it would have helped along the way.
Here is a quick overview of the book from a website for anyone that looks at this blog. The overview is just a taste and I suggest getting a copy (it’s been out for a long time so you should be able to find one without spending much money) because as the author, Stephen Covey, says you should use it as a companion on your life's journey.
